American Trucking Associations VP dies

Rebecca Driver, VP of conventions and meeting services at the American Trucking Associations, died Dec. 26 at The George Washington University Hospital in Washington, D.C. Driver, 67, had congestive heart failure. Driver began her 30-plus-year career at ATA in 1982 starting at Transport Topics, the newspaper of trucking and freight transportation. In 1987, she moved to the conventions and meetings department and was promoted to the vice presidency in 1999. Here, Driver was responsible for organizing the annual conference and trade show.
